PASS is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Test / System Integration Engineer who is interested in participating in system test projects for innovative laboratory automation systems for use in clinical diagnostics.
The position is offered for full-time employment, work locations are based in the greater Zurich area.
Essential Functions
- Analyze documentation and technical specification
- Plan, develop, execute and document test plans and scripts to verify hardware and complete system functionality
- Triage and track defects found in development and in the field
- Integrate, configure and maintain hardware and software systems for test
- Collaborate closely with SW / HW development teams throughout the product development life cycle
- Communicate testing progress, test results and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
- Analyze QA reports in order to discover and report defects, bugs and other issues
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Automation or preferably Medical Device Engineering
- 2-3 years’ experience in hardware quality assurance
- Knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team
- Ability to work individually with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a highly demanding environment where teamwork is a must
- Ability to write and execute detailed test plans and procedures
- Experience with test management and defect tracking system(s)
- Experience with Product / Service Safety Risk Management
