Title Software- / System Test Engineer
Location Greater Zurich Area
Job Information

PASS is seeking a highly skilled Software and System Test Engineer with experience in the medical device industry.

The position is offered for full-time, work locations are based in the greater Zurich area.

Essential Functions

  • Plan, develop, execute and document test plans and scripts to verify software and system functionality
  • Triage and track defects found during SDLC
  • Integrate, configure and maintain test systems and software test tools
  • Collaborate closely with development teams throughout the product life cycle
  • Communicate testing progress, test results and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
  • Analyze QA reports in order to discover and report defects, bugs and other issues

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) and 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or Masters Degree (depending on the seniority level)
  • Min. 2 years experience in the medical device industry
  • Knowledge of software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team
  • Ability to work individually with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a highly demanding environment where teamwork is a must
  • Ability to write and execute detailed test plans and procedures
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking system(s)
  • Possibly ISTQB Certificate (Certified Tester)

Title Hardware Test + System Integration Engineer
Job Information

PASS is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Test / System Integration Engineer who is interested in participating in system test projects for innovative laboratory automation systems for use in clinical diagnostics.

The position is offered for full-time employment, work locations are based in the greater Zurich area.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze documentation and technical specification
  • Plan, develop, execute and document test plans and scripts to verify hardware and complete system functionality
  • Triage and track defects found in development and in the field
  • Integrate, configure and maintain hardware and software systems for test
  • Collaborate closely with SW / HW development teams throughout the product development life cycle
  • Communicate testing progress, test results and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
  • Analyze QA reports in order to discover and report defects, bugs and other issues

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Automation or preferably Medical Device Engineering
  • 2-3 years’ experience in hardware quality assurance
  • Knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team
  • Ability to work individually with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a highly demanding environment where teamwork is a must
